Frosty update … Watch this space

An update about Frosty is coming next week. Frosty will not be back 😦 In the meantime, you may like to read this poem (rumour has it that Frosty edited this poem): When Tomorrow Starts Without Me

Certificate for Frosty

You may like to look at the backstory about Frosty. An update about Frosty should be coming soon. Usually my certificates are reserved for members of The Cat’s PAJAMAS. However there are exceptions … Enjoy 🙂 Recursion (or infinite regression?): see the certificate (on Frosty) …

Gifting Circles- Stay away from these!

Yes, stay away from these. They are pyramid schemes. See: https://www.stuff.co.nz/business/94740146/commerce-commission-warns-against-gifting-circle-pyramid-scheme See: lightworkersworld.com – The Top 10 Reasons NOT to Join a Women’s Gifting Circle | Lightworkersworld and http://www.nzherald.co.nz/personal-finance/news/article.cfm?c_id=12&objectid=11468106 Also see: http://www.crimes-of-persuasion.com/Crimes/InPerson/MajorPerson/pyramid_clubs.htm   The scheme may not work exactly as I have described below but the info should show why you should not “invest” in…

Should the name be "The Cat's Pajamas" or "The Cat's Pyjamas"?

From the start there has been discussion whether the name of the (Google+) group should be “The Cat’s Pajamas” or “The Cat’s Pyjamas”- what do you think? The phrase “The Cat’s Pajamas” began in the 1920s in the U.S. In UK English the word is almost always spelled “pyjamas”.   We used PAJAMAS: Pets, Animals,…

We’re the cat’s pajamas Not tied to apron strings Of Neighbully’s brahmas We enjoy our playthings. We’re the cat’s pajamas We fly like birds with wings Many NT dramas…

The Cat's PAJAMAS

The “K-Plus” group has now been renamed “The Cat’s PAJAMAS” to better reflect the group’s interests. See: https://aaamazingsite.wordpress.com/ PAJAMAS = Pets, Animals, Jokes, Anecdotes, Musings, Amusements, & Sayings. Should the name be “The Cat’s PYJAMAS“? The guidelines remain the same. You may like to read my poem. Enjoy 🙂

The K-Plus screen

The basic set-up for the K-Plus (Google+) group is now complete. We will still be using Neighbourly, although we may become “lurkers” like 99% of the members. At least most of the time. Below is part of the screen(s) this evening for the K-Plus group (in two halves). This should give you an idea of…

First-day Certificates for the K-Plus group

The K-Plus group is proud to award the following certificates to its members after its first day. One member even asked for a pdf version of their certificate. Enjoy your awards 🙂 All the awards are well-deserved. Well done!

Why was the K-Plus group started?

Currently all K-Plus members belong to Neighbourly. All members of the K-PLus group support the concept of Neighbourly. Sadly the concept and the reality are not the same. Where is our “freedom of expression”? A number of Neighbourly members in West Auckland found that Neighbourly was too restrictive about posting humorous posts and posts about…

We survived the Waterview Tunnel yesterday

On the way back home yesterday, we went through the new Waterview Tunnel (this was the first day it was opened for cars). It took longer to drive through the tunnel than we expected. Not a great deal of traffic. Spot the black car (three in front) changing lanes. Don’t they know it’s illegal 😦…

Neighbourly: What should I talk about next?

I would like to know what Neighbourly members would like me to talk about next in my blog. Why I do not recommend Neighbourly If you have any thoughts or information to share please comment on this post, email me (look at the bottom of my Competitions page for my email address) look at my Contact page, or post on Neighbourly. Some possible topics of conversation: We believe…

Pingbacks to Facebook

This was really cool! My brother told me he had seen my posts on Facebook. I replied that I had not posted on Facebook for years. In fact I had last posted (directly) on Facebook in 2015 before the flag referendum. What had happened was posts that I had written in WordPress had automatically been added to my…

Robyn is back- but is not a Lead

Please see Farewell Robyn for the backstory. Robyn is once again a member of Neighbourly, in Titirangi. Sadly she is no longer a Lead. She cannot reapply to be a Lead for a month, and even then no guarantee.   Below are one member’s thoughts (posted with permission): Thank you Marion for openly expressing your point of view…
