Majestic Princess~ Refund by USD cheque?

We booked a cruise on Majestic Princess from Auckland to Sydney from 30 October to 4 November 2023 in our first minisuite.  All passengers like us boarding in Auckland we unable to board until the next day. For the missed day itself we only received initially USD $18.96 (NZD $30.25) in our onboard account. In total the onboard credit for our late departure amounted to USD $61.65.

Immediately we got onboard (a day late) we went to reception and were told that any credit remaining at the end of the cruise would be paid to us by USD cheque. Only on the last afternoon of our cruise were we told that this would not happen.

Two months later we were told in 2024 that payment to NZ citizens had not been paid in USD cheques for over 12 months!

Most New Zealand banks will not accept cheques even in NZD.

We were promised that:
“Each guest will receive a one-day refund of the cruise fare paid as a refundable onboard credit.”

Majestic Princess Cruise~ For the missed day itself we only got $18.96

Did most new passengers boarding Majestic Princess in Auckland have charges on their account from the previous occupants of their cabin? A system error still existed onboard for over two months after we were stung for USD $376 for telephone calls (not ours)!

    We also have problems from p&O cruises did a future cruise deposit on pacific explorer Nov 10 from auckland should have been charged 100.00 but they took 200.00 each when checked account at picton and told his wasn’t believed had to use internet to show bank statements but nothing done have sent email and complaints since time and time again nothing was added to Elvis cruise so had to rebook and pay another 100.00 deposit each after long time got email back that have been refunded 100.00 each and matter is resolved not sure how from 600.00 you get 200.00 back and 200.00 put towards deposit is resolved as my mates says there is 200.00 missing now there is also no response to any emails calls etc there customer service is useless Elvis cruise that is very expensive has also been canceled and replaced by 4 day comedy cruise no difference in price though you just hit brick wall I don’t know what to do oh I never got email about changing the cruise but have been told I have I’m not very happy
