What do you think of WordPress 5 and Gutenberg?
Now that WordPress 5 and Gutenberg officially arrived earlier this month, let’s start a conversation.
Do you have any reservations? Does it make you feel cozy?
Is the solution viable short-term?
Finally is it a treat that you cherish or an extravagant waste of time and effort?
I must confess personally, until I heard all the hype and proclivity towards blocks, I hoped we would see more of a WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) style editor i.e. being able to edit in the ‘Preview’ mode so that theme/font styles are implemented ‘on the fly’.
What we have got is more of a computer nerd/ programmer approach which is clunky and not user-friendly.
The implementation reminds me of key communication (below):
